hello!

it is nice to see you again! remember us? we’re PROJECT HELLO, and we’re back again to unite the creative community in denver - visual artists, crafters, designers, musicians, fashion and jewelry designers, writers, culinary artists, film makers and performers. we believe that creativity fuels inspiration, support encourages action, and that we’re stronger in numbers. project hello 2010 was an amazing event, so, let’s do it again!

project hello is an event to gather, foster, promote and expose our efforts. this is a call to all creatives, whether or not you have experience in publicly presenting your work, to show us what you've got. we want to support you, we want you to support us, and we feel this will benefit the entire community. 

we know introductions can be a bit awkward, so naturally, that's what we're asking of you. please submit a proposal for a work centered on the concept of introduction.. how do you interpret introduction?  what does introduction mean to you?  show us how you say hello in your creative voice.  if this is your second year with project hello, please submit a proposal that demonstrates how project hello 2010 impacted your life and work as a creative. both first and second year submissions should reveal who you are as a creative individual, and will be selected for inclusion by a jury of your fellow creatives to be presented at project hello at RedLine on june 25, 2011. we look forward to getting to know you!

• a detailed, written description, drawings or photos of your proposed project about introduction, or how project hello 2010 impacted your life and work as a creative (see above for details and here for examples from last year).  please keep in mind that your proposed project must embody 1 of these concepts in order to further unite all exhibiting creatives the day of the event.
• 3-5 images (jpegs) of your work from the last 2 years 
• brief bio/statement 
• special needs like electricity

details

• project hello is an indoor event.
• most creatives will have up to a 4x6' foot space to work with.  please let us know if you are a musician, performer or new media artist and need additional space and electricity.
• participants will need to provide their own tables, black plastic folding chairs will be available.  
• to connect our community, please plan on being present alongside your work for the entire event, including setup and breakdown.
